The 31th Meeting of the National Ethics Councils (NEC Forum) took place in Stockholm on May 25-26 2023. The meeting was organized in collaboration between the European Commission (DG RTD) and the Swedish National Council on Medical Ethics, SMER.
Representatives of ethics councils from 31 countries were present, as well as members ofthe Ethics and Research Integrity Officer Network (ERION) network and a group of students from École Normale Supérieure in France.
The NEC Forum is an informal platform for the exchange of information and experience on issues of ethics and science between national ethics councils in Europe. The Forum meets twice a year, hosted by the NEC of the country that holds the current European Union Presidency.
