The seminar will address the ethics, practice and knowledge of the consequences of migration policies. What is the situation globally and around EU borders? How will the situation in Sweden develop? How do different refugee policy choices regarding reception, residence permits, detention and access to social services affect refugees’ health? How can we reason about the ethical dilemmas and conflicts of values and interests that arise?
The seminar is organised together with the 2022 recipient of the Smer Ethics Prize, Médecins Sans Frontières.
Most of the seminar will be held in English.
