Lena Hallengren, Minister for Health and Social Affairs has appointed Kenneth Johansson as new chair for The Swedish National Council on Medical Ethics from May 24 2019.
Kenneth Johansson is former governor for Värmland county, and former member of the Parliament (Riksdagen) 1998-2012. In the Swedish Parliament he was chair for the Committee on Health and Welfare (2006-2012). Kenneth Johansson has also been chair of The Swedish Council for Organ and Tissue Donation (2014-2018).
He is also a former member of The Swedish National Council on Medical ethics (2002-2005).
